Maynard History Event

Did you know that the Mill in Maynard used to have a large bell that was rung at 9:00 PM to signal that mill workers all over town were expected to be in bed on time?  No, I didn't either.
(That kind of schedule wouldn't have worked out well for me, I'm a night person!)
Don't worry, there are no plans to ring this bell in the future.  However it has been saved and is now displayed in the Roosevelt Room, at the Maynard Public Library.
On Saturday, May 6, there will be a brief dedication event, there, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM.
The library is located at 77 Nason Street, just up from the downtown area.
